Dr. Guy Barzan DDS, MD, MSc, FRCD(C)
Dr. Guy Barzan is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2012. Upon graduation, he went on to complete a one year general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Barzan then completed a 6-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During his training in Halifax, he obtained his medical doctor (MD) degree and masters of science (MSc) degree. His master’s thesis studied how corrective jaw surgery improves the airway in patients who have obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Barzan was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. He is proud to bring full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery services to the residents of the community. Dr. Barzan and his family are excited to be back in Sault Ste. Marie.
